100th anniversary of the birth of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Rahman known as Mujib Borsho. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on 17th March 1920 in Gopalganj. He was complete his education in Gopalganj and India. In 1947, he protested against the looting and the oppression of the British colonization. In 1970 when East Pakistan’s people were tortured by West Pakistan. Bangabandhu raised his voice against the law of West Pakistan. At the call of Bangabandhu in 1971 all Bengalis jumped and liberated Bangladesh through 9 months of war. In 1975, on 15th August, Bangabandhu was murdered with his family.

Therefore highlighting the eventful life of Bangabandhu, the government of Bangladesh announced Mujib Borsho from 2020 to 2022. The celebration started with many fireworks and the poem “Baba” written by prime minister Sheikh Hasina. The government has also taken some steps to develop projects as part of Mujib Borsho. undoubtedly Mujib Borso has brought many changes to Bangladesh.

The birth centenary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman known as Mujib Borsho has announced in 2020 to 2021.
Mujibur Rahman was born on 17th March 1920 in the Gopalganj Mohkuma. He was the third son of his parents and they called him “khoka”. Bangabandhu was kind-hearted from childhood. He finished his primary and secondary education in Gopalganj. He achieved a B.A degree from Kolkata. As a politician, he always protested against injustice. At the time of British Colonization, he protested against the looting and oppression of them. In 1947 the subcontinent was divided into India and Pakistan. Then began the exploitation of West Pakistan over East Pakistan. Bangabandhu raised his voice against that injustice and had to face jail many times.

In 1971 after nine months of bloody war and the sacrifice of 30,000 martyrs, Bangladesh gained her independence. In 1975, on 15th August, Bangabandhu was murdered. Therefore highlighting the eventful life of Bangabandhu is the main purpose of Mujib Borsho. The celebration of Mujib Borsho started with fireworks in different parts of the country. It was also announced by UNESCO in the whole world. The government of Bangladesh has undertaken many development projects as part of Mujib Borsho. For example, electrification of all villages in Bangladesh, poverty alternation, and ensuring ICT facilities in remote corners of Bangladesh.
After all, The celebration of the Mujib Borsho has brought many unbelievable changes to Bangladesh.

Mujib Borsho has been announced by the government for celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It started from 17th March 2020 to 31st March 2022. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on 17th March 1920 in the Gopalganj Mohkuma. His father’s name was Sheikh Lutfur Rahman and his mother’s was Syera Khatun. He performed intelligently in his primary and secondary education in Gopalganj and achieved a B. A degree in 1947 from Kolkata Islamic College. The country was then under British colonization rule and the oppressors were looting the resources of this country.

Against the oppression of the regime, Mujib raised his voice. In 1947, The Indian subcontinent was divided into two countries named India and Pakistan. Our motherland was referred to as East Pakistan and was oppressed by the West Pakistan rules. Seikh Mujib protested this and had to face jail several times as a villain for serving his country’s purpose. In 1970 they conducted a general election, in which Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman achieved the majority vote but wasn’t been able to form the government.

This also influenced the people of East Pakistan. They gave Sheikh Mujib the title of Bangabandhu on 2nd March and on 7th March Bangabandhu gave a speech in front of millions of exploited people of East Pakistan which encourage the people to fight for their liberation. Bangladesh gained its victory after nine months of bloody war against the Pakistani Military Force. After the liberation of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu started his work to enrich Bangladesh in Finance and other aspects. But he wasn’t been able to perform his actions as he was murdered along with his family on 15 August 1975. The celebration of Mujib Borsho started with many fireworks. The government of Bangladesh has undertaken many development projects as part of Mujib Borsho. There was also made a logo by Sabyasachi Hazra.
Undoubtedly the celebration of Mujib Borsho has brought many positive changes to Bangladesh. Thus the celebration becomes a historical part for all the freedom-loving Bengal people.
